BUA 212: Business Law and Ethics

A practical overview of the U.S. legal system and its influence on business operations, with an emphasis on ethical decision-making and legal risk management.  Topics include contracts, torts, property, business formations, agency, employment and labor law, environmental regulation, and bankruptcy.  Students develop legal vocabulary, analyze case law, and apply core concepts through a project examining the legal structure and liabilities of a real-world business.  Designed for Business Administration majors, the course equips students to navigate legal challenges with strategic insight and professional integrity.
