This major is offered online through a consortium of accredited colleges and universities. All CSC courses within the program are delivered by faculty employed by partner institutions in the consortium, with technology and administrative support provided by Rize Education. Oversight of courses offered through the consortium is reviewed and approved by Newberry College. Students register through Newberry College and receive academic credit from Newberry College.
Program Learning Outcomes:
1. Analyze processes and complex problems using industry-standard frameworks and techniques.
2. Design appropriate software application solutions for complex processes using current software development tools and techniques.
3. Determine appropriate front-end, back-end, and middle-ware programming tools and techniques for developing software application solutions.
4. Determine appropriate industry-standard software testing techniques to ensure scalable and reliable code development.
5. Utilize industry-standard software development tools and techniques for secure software version control and collaboration with other development project members.
6. Develop appropriate documentation for each stage of the software development cycle - analysis, software design, coding, testing, and deployment.
