This course examines the neural, biomechanical, perceptual, and cognitive mechanisms that underlie motor learning and skilled performance. Students evaluate models of motor control, measurement techniques, and task- and environment-specific training strategies, and apply this knowledge to the design of evidence-based motor performance interventions for diverse populations. Emphasis is placed on assessment, program planning, and the translation of motor learning principles into scalable practice across educational, sport, clinical, and organizational environments.
