Traditional Undergraduate Students
Newberry College will confer degrees at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters on the date of the commencement ceremony. The college will confer degrees for students completing coursework at the end of the January, May, and Summer terms effective on the first business day after the final day of classes.
Special Circumstances: Under extenuating, college-approved circumstances a student in the traditional program may be given extended time to complete graduation requirements. In these cases a grade of Incomplete is given. When a student completes the requirements and the final grades are submitted, the college will confer the degree for the student effective on the day the coursework is completed.
Graduate and Online Students
Students enrolled in Graduate and Online programs are enrolled in 7.5-week courses. Newberry College will confer degrees for students completing graduation requirements effective on the first business day after the final day of classes of each term.
