Newberry College's Military Services Coordinator is available to assist students who are serving in the military, student-veterans, and military family members who are utilizing military education benefits.
The Military Services Coordinator (MSC):
- Provides education and assistance with accessing military education benefits, including Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30), Vocational Readiness and Employment (VR&E/Chapter 31), Veterans Educational Assistance Program (Chapter 32), Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33), and Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program (Chapter 35).
- Acts as a liaison for student veterans and soldiers with other campus departments, including Financial Aid, the Registrar, Academic Advising, Student Success and Counseling Services, and faculty/student communications.
- Connects student soldiers, veterans, and family members to community resources to assist with Veteran Affairs and military benefits-related matters.
- Serves as a point of contact for military education benefits access at Newberry College for military-related inquiries related to veterans and soldiers.
