This course provides students with supervised experiential learning opportunities within hospitality and tourism-related organizations. Students apply knowledge and skills acquired through coursework in real-world hospitality environments, including lodging, food and beverage, events, tourism, guest services, and related hospitality operations.
The internship emphasizes professional development, workplace communication, teamwork, ethical conduct, and the application of hospitality management principles. Students engage in practical experiences that support the development of operational knowledge, customer service skills, and professional competencies while working under the guidance of industry professionals.
Through reflective assignments, supervisor evaluations, and experiential learning activities, students connect academic concepts to industry practices and gain a greater understanding of hospitality operations and career opportunities.
