This course will examine the legal principles that govern domestic relationships in the U.S. legal system. Students will learn family law procedures, trial preparation, and explore methods of alternative dispute resolution. Students will explore the paralegal’s role in domestic matters including client interactions, information gathering, document preparation, litigation support, post-judgment enforcement, and ethical responsibilities in family law practice.
