This leadership seminar prepares RN-BSN students to transition into expanded professional nursing roles through the integration of leadership, management, professional practice, and lifelong learning principles. Students examine contemporary issues affecting nursing practice, healthcare systems, quality improvement, patient safety, interprofessional collaboration, healthcare policy, and ethical decision-making. Emphasis is placed on developing leadership competencies, professional communication skills, change management strategies, and evidence-based approaches to improving healthcare outcomes across diverse care settings. Through reflective learning, professional portfolio development, and synthesis of RN-BSN program concepts, students demonstrate readiness to assume leadership roles that promote quality care, advocate for patients and populations, and contribute to the advancement of the nursing profession.
