- The Academic Commons Fee supports essential programs and services that enhance the academic and campus experience at Newberry College. This fee funds the textbook and course materials program, student activities and campus events, residence life programming, campus technology infrastructure including Wi-Fi access, student admission to all home athletic events at no additional cost, and campus safety and security services. Together, these services support student success, engagement, connectivity, and well-being throughout the academic year.

- Students enrolled in the Summerland Honors and Music Education programs may register for up to 21 hours without being charged an overload fee. If a Summerland Honors or Music Education student is approved to enroll in more than 21 credit hours, that student will be charged an additional $950 per credit hour.
